I'm Joanna, the voice behind Clueless to Confident Mom.

As a fellow mom navigating the unpredictable journey of raising a tiny human, I understand the mix of joys and challenges that come with the territory. 

I hope something in this blog of personal experiences will help, inspire, or connect with someone else out there who is trying to figure out life with kids.

Becoming a mom is life-changing! The excitement, the joy, the fears, and doubts, the happiness, the loneliness...well it's hard to explain the vastness, simplicity, and challenges of this new lifestyle until you experience it. There are untold numbers of helpful parenting books out there and other blogs, and yet, women still need more support, guidance, encouragement, and different perspectives to know no one has it "all figured out" behind the scenes, and they aren't alone in trying to make sense of it all in the role that is supposedly completely natural and instinctual - being a mom. So, I've thrown my hat in the ring by creating this blog, just to be here as a fellow mom, not an expert or professional in anything fancy, to hopefully offer raw comfort and laughs for all those out there searching for insights.

This blog is a safe space where I share my personal experiences, tips, and mistakes on the rollercoaster of what it means to be a mom for those who, like me, started out knowing absolutely NOTHING about pregnancy, birth, babies, kids, nutrition, or what to do throughout the long days, nights, and naps.

I'm originally from Texas, but have now, surprisingly, lived almost the same amount of time as I did there, here in California! So you may notice a mix of both Texan and Californian influences in my approach to life.
