FAQ

What is your favorite part about being a mom?
Ooh, this is really a tough question because I think there are so many awesome things about being a mom!
Ultimately, I'd say my favorite thing is hearing their laughter. Laughter is absolutely contagious and hearing the pure joy from your own kid, knowing how happy they are...Ah, it's the best.

Sweet or savory?
Savory! Hands-down, savory is what I could snack on anytime. Don't get me wrong, I like sweets too but I'd definitely pick chips and salsa or popcorn or things like that to munch on over sweets.

Where is your favorite place to travel to?
My favorite place to travel to, that I could go to over and over again, is the Hawaiian Islands. So far I've been 7 times and hoping to keep going!
The coolest place I've ever been, though, is Iceland. It's so unique and magical. It's very different from anywhere I've experienced so far.

How many sleep regressions do kids have?
When I was trying to figure out the art of schedules and sleep cycles with my then-baby, it seemed like every month or so was another developmental leap and sleep regression. My child is (as of writing this) is three and I swear we are still having sleep regressions pop up right when we think things have normalized out. On top of this, at age 40, my husband believes I am entering a new phase of a sleep regression! Go figure! Thanks mid-life changes!

What's the best parenting tip you can give?
Lead with love. For yourself, for your partner, for your child...for all of it, the tough moments too: try to come from a place of love.
It can be hard to remember this in tough situations when you might be the most tired, stressed, or frustrated, but giving , showing, and returning to a place of love is the only answer I've found to make it through the good and the bad. Do your best to dig deep, take big breaths, and try to approach your kids and family with a lense of love as much as possible.

Funniest thing my child said:
My child is still very young but I vividly remember the day when we were visiting a children's museum and from the gift shop they walked up to me with a toy cockroach on wheels. Basically a bug car, but it looked real.
With a very earnest, concerned face, at only two years old, they were ready to propose we buy this item:
"Don't worry, mom. It's not a real bug. It's a bug toy!"
